What Is Lymphatic Cavitation and Massage?
Cavitation is a noninvasive treatment performed at The Health & Wellness Center to help break down pockets of stubborn fatty cells, most commonly around the abdomen, belly, thighs, and upper arms. Unlike traditional liposuction, which involves surgery and a potentially lengthy recovery time, cavitation uses ultrasound waves to dissolve fat so it can be flushed out of the body. To speed up the process, we offer lymphatic massages with radiofrequency (RF) energy to improve the flow of blood and lymph fluids, improving healing and reducing any inflammation. To learn more about cavitation and other nonsurgical cosmetic treatments offered at our St. Louis, MO office, contact our team today and schedule a consultation with Dr. Secil Schodroski.
Request an AppointmentHow Does Lymphatic Cavitation and Massage Work?
Before your procedure starts, a member of our team will cover the treatment area with a layer of ultrasound gel to allow for easier gliding and improved contact. After that, the ultrasonic device will be used to apply pressure to the part of the body we’re focusing on. As your skin and muscle tissues experience high-speed vibration, the fatty deposits underneath will dissolve into the lymphatic system. The cavitation process is painless and requires no incisions or sutures.
Once the cavitation procedure is done, we will start the lymphatic massage. During this part of the treatment, one of our providers will use an RF applicator to gently warm and massage the area, stimulating lymphatic circulation to flush out the liquified fat. The warmth and pressure also help to improve blood flow for faster recovery. Just like cavitation, RF lymphatic massages are painless, and many patients find it relaxing.
You may notice an improvement in your shape after just one cavitation treatment at our St. Louis, MO office, but multiple sessions are often needed to see the full results. During your consultation, Dr. Schodroski will let you know what to expect from your treatment and how many visits might be required.
